Ashbee was awarded ‘Facade Project of the Year’ for its first major project in India. Conceived by James Law, One BKC maintains a quiet, refined presence in Mumbai’s most high- profile business district.

The multi-skin facade is composed of custom-designed louver panels and Schüco’s classic unitized system. A total of 5,300 panels were fabricated and dispatched to site on a fast-tracked schedule.

DILMUNIA ISLAND,
BAHRAIN

Without continuous flat surfaces, tremendous joinery work was required to clad this building. The wavy exterior is composed of a custom-designed curved railing profile which accommodates segmented curved glass inside the rail. Absent joinery, this detail helps the building achieve its unusual aesthetic.

It also features multiple steel 3D Pergolas designed and produced in-house with a wood finish.

The Bahrain headquarters of regional telecom behemoth – Zain. This was one of the first towers to come up in the Seef District at 25 stories. It was an arresting sight then with nothing around it and continues to hold its own despite its newer and taller neighbours.

A prestigious set of residences, these colourful homes can be spotted across the bay behind the Bahrain Financial Harbour or if you saunter into the Reef Island Resort.

A volume of 60,000 sq. metres of cladding and 35,000 sq. metres of glazing were completed quickly in two phases. The results are polished spaces that embrace residents in the natural elements of their surroundings.

The Orchid Tower echoes its namesake by literally towering over all buildings in its vicinity. Curved balconies petal outwards on the front elevation, and accentuate the slim profile of the structure from different angles. Cylindrical columns are made up of sectioned straight glasses in a curtainwall. Segmented cradles were specially designed to enable work on the curved balcony details simultaneously. The railings are also a custom solution.
